Searsons has long been a top choice for rugby fans and with little wonder, the atmosphere is electric on game day.

As well as plenty of screens, they've all the usual stuff on tap as well as a cool cocktail menu and some really tasty pub grub.

2) Lemon and Duke, Duke Lane

Come for the match but be prepared to settle in. Located just off Grafton Street, Lemon and Duke has a gorgeous food menu to compliment their drinks. It also has a rugby connection as it is co-owned by the same team as the Bridge 1859 in Ballsbridge rugby stars Jamie Heslip and brothers Rob and Dave Kearney.

Once the evening sets in, a live DJ is in residence so you could stay on all night if you want.

3) Toners, Baggot Street

Ask anyone their top pick of Dublin sports bars and chances are Toners will likely make the cut. There's a very comfy and huge heated outdoor terrace and plenty of space to gather around the TV screens. The pizzas are also pretty special, it's definitely a spot where you can kick back and enjoy all the action.

4)The Camden, Camden Street

The Camden is ideal if you plan on heading out for a bite after the match given its proximity to Dublin's top-rated restaurants and clubs. Giant screens show all the sport- it's like watching the game on a cinema screen- and there's lots of space to move around.

5) The Bath, Bath Avenue

6) The Bridge 1859, Ballsbridge

This is a real pub pub. As in, bar stools instead of long couches and plenty of buzz and chances are good of getting a snog at the end of a Saturday night. Mc Sorley's is definitely a spot to consider if you are making a day of it, as a DJ kicks off in the evening playing some top pop classics.

9) Harry Byrnes, Clontarf

Harry Byrnes never fails to deliver a great atmosphere on game days but you'll have to arrive early to nab a seat. If you don't mind standing though there's plenty of space outside with several screens so you won't miss the action.

10) Paddy Cullens, Ballsbridge

Paddy Cullens is always a popular spot at the weekend but when Ireland is playing the punters are regularly spilling out onto the street with pints. It's really close to the stadium too so it's usually pretty packed before and after the game.

11) The Old Stand, Dublin 2

Slap bang in the city centre, The Old Stand is a great pub for any sport really. It's a traditional bar that regulars love for a creamy pint of the black stuff. It goes down very well when celebrating a winning try.

12) Mary Macs, Ballsbridge

Great service, a good beer menu and a lovely Guinness, sure what more could ask for except maybe a Tripple Crown or Grand Slam? Mary Macs is an intimate spot with space at the bar and a nice comfortable smoking area.

13) The Woolshed, Parnell Street

The Merry Cobbler is another great shout if you're looking for a place to watch the game. Rumour has it that Andy Farrell, whose young son Gabriel is also following in the family's sporty footsteps, has been known to pop in for a pint of two over the years as well!

15) The Swan

The Swan on Augier Street is a legacy rugby pub. It was formerly owned by Sean Lynch who played for Leinster, Ireland, and the only Lions team to beat New Zealand. It's also crammed with memorabilia to set the mood on the day, it is also the favourite watering hole for trainee doctors from the nearby College of Surgeons.
